Introduction
|
Hi,
I am Catherine Fahidin from Indonesia and I would like to introduce myself to all of you. From Fall 1999, I am studying the MBA program in University of Delaware in USA. Before I came to USA, I lived in Indonesia; it's a country located in South East Asia in which most of you never heard before, (maybe) with exception for the famous touristic object: Bali island, and East Timor conflict lately. Indonesia is a very beautiful country, and for anybody who never been there, I suggest you to go there at least once in your life time. Don't miss this opportunity... Indonesia is not an under development country, you could find McDonald and Four Season's Hotels there as well as Indonesian traditional culture.

Eventough University of Delaware is not an ivy league school, UD has very good reputation in several academic fields, such as the Chemical Engineering department.
At first, I went to UD for its Pre-MBA program at the UD's English Language Institute course. From there I found out about UD MBA and I tought to give it a try, and now I am here, and I like it. The MBA program provides a concentration that is very interesting for me: Technology and Innovation Management, where I could learn about new technology and product impact and necessity for businesses.

My interests:
|
Singing, dancing and some sports are my prime interests. However, I enjoyed doing all of those activities with my friends. Once me and several close friends created a small choir which was quite a success in our city (Bandung Indonesia). The name of the choir group is Alitia Choir which mean small choir group. However, due to our own busy schedules and changes of occupation in our life, now all of the Choir members almost consists of new people, in which I rarely know them at all since they joined it after I came to US. Well, at least we are still good friends, and I communicate with the other members mostly through email. The other leisure activities that I love is dancing. During my undergraduate years in Bandung, I joined Wisma Nartaki; a ballet school, and I became one of the teacher assistant there. I really missed my time with them.
But, I have great friends here too, so I don't feel lonely at all. I thank God for this blessing.
